Il Continori is housed in two storefronts of a fabulous old building in the heart of the village. With pressed tin molding, creamy walls covered with art, exposed red brick and antique accents, the restaurant has a rich, Old World texture to it, but without a suffocating stodginess.Well-placed tables, chairs with a minimalist design and fresh-cut flowers create a brightness and airiness in the historic atmosphere while light jazz plays in the background. It's intimate, but diners aren't sitting on top of one another. There are several hundred wines to choose from, ranging in price from $17 to $250 a bottle, making an impressive yet accessible wine list for all diners. In addition, seven specialty martinis are offered with daily martini specials. The menu boasts traditional Italian-style pastas, steaks and fish, and a host of specials. All ingredients are delivered fresh daily. A three-course special on Wednesdays costs a mere $18.95. Off the dessert menu, there is tiramisu and a truly divine creme brulee. The service at Il Continori is impeccable. Special orders, staying open late for regulars who call in and catering to large crowds is all part of a day's work at Il Continori, making it an ideal place for dates, business dinners or a elegant night out with friends.
